Last week St Andrews Glaciology hosted the official start-up meeting for the CALISMO project (Calving Laws for Ice Sheet Models). We were joined by Adrian Luckman and Suzanne Bevan (Swansea University) and Thomas Zwinger (CSC, Finland) for an interesting day of modelling and remote sensing discussions. Satellites, continuum models and fracture mechanics, we’re doing it all!

In addition to all the science, we had an excellent snowy adventure up Ben Vrackie and some excellent locally brewed beers!
